Youngsters are set for a fun filled summer in Cambridgeshire Libraries with a number of ticketed events taking place.

From ‘Creepy House’ crafts, to Mr Rainbow’s Magic Show, there will also be a zoo lab as well as many other activities taking place. Prices for the events range from £2-£3 with discounts available for multiple tickets. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the library hosting the event.

Cambridgeshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Learning, Councillor David Harty said: “It’s not every day you get a chance to get up close to lizards and meerkats – but that’s just one of the exciting things youngsters will be able to do in some of our libraries this summer. If you’re taking the children along to a library event why not encourage them to also borrow a book and take part in the Summer Reading Challenge.”

Use the search term “libraries summer” on www.cambridgeshire.net to find out what’s on and when near you. There are also a wide range of free events taking place this summer – details of which will be announced on www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk soon.
