Can you save lives as a CFR?

An urgent appeal has been issued by the ambulance service for a community first responder (CFR) in the Wisbech area.

CFR Peter Goodey is the only volunteer in the area responding to emergencies and has given up around 300 hours every month to EEAST.

However, Peter was recently injured in a car crash and is struggling to get out of the house. All the lifesaving equipment is there but there is nobody to use it.

The Trust says that their CFRs, who provide a rapid response to potentially life-threatening emergencies, can be particularly important over the winter as rural villages could become more isolated due to poor weather.

No matter how much or little time you can spare, you can become a CFR and start saving lives.
