A colourful carpet of flowers was a centrepiece to remember when it featured in a fundraising flower festival.

It was the second year a unique carpet arrangement has made an appearance at the Tydd St Giles Church event, after a parishioner admired a stunning carpet display at Ely Cathedral.
Children from the Kinderley Primary School made the carpet in the chancel, and it filled the length of the church. Jane Melloy (left) and Liz Jordan are pictured with the youngsters’ creation.
Other attractions at the three-day event included beautiful flower arrangements and, elsewhere in the village, the annual garage sale and a harvest auction at the Crown and Mitre pub. The flower festival raised £1,400 towards ongoing restoration work at the church. Photo: MFCP15MF090042
