WISBECH in Bloom members are appealing for the return of one of the town’s special floral centrepieces.

The floral man was inside the rowing boat feature on the small roundabout near the Aldi store.

The centrepiece, which belongs to Fenland Council and cost £2,000 planted, went missing possibly on Friday. Brian Massingham, who chairs the committee, noticed the attraction had gone from the rowing boat on Saturday.

Committee secretary, Penny Stocks, is keen to see it returned explaining as local authority money is tight, the centrepiece is unlikely to be replaced.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police and the committee welcome its return.
