CHATTERIS: Firefighters car wash

Firefighters at Chatteris Fire Station will be soaping up cars to raise cash for charity.

Crews at the Fenland station are holding a car wash in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity on Saturday, March 16, from 10am until 4pm at the fire station in Station Street, Chatteris.

Residents are encouraged to bring their vehicles along to be washed in exchange for a donation to the charity, which supporters injured firefighters and provides life-enhancing services for the fire and rescue community.

Everyone who has their car washed can also enter into a raffle to win a food hamper, which has been donated to Chatteris Fire Station for its chart-topping effort in collecting more than 1 tonne of clothing at its textile recycling bank.
