Staff at a Wisbech supermarket swapped the check-outs for ball gowns to raise more than a thousand pounds for charity.
Aldi workers were joined by workers from other stores along with friends to dance the night away at the Elme Hall Hotel.
Around 75 people went along to the hotel on Sunday, September 6, for a fun packed evening. The ball was organised to raise money for the Parkinson’s, Meningitis Trust, Action for Children and the Amazon children’s ward at Peterborough City Hospital. The event raised a whopping £1,320 which will be divided between the charities. Party-goers enjoyed dancing to a disco along with supporting a raffle on the night. Assistant manager Michelle Peploe was delighted with the event’s success. She said: “We are really pleased with the ball and are planning to make it bigger next year.” Some of the ball-goers are pictured above PICTURE: mfcp15af09070
