This week I’m suggesting a sumptuous dish of chilli and garlic prawns with your favourite crusty bread – as a main dish or a starter...

ingredients:

400g prawns

1 red and 1 green chilli, deseeded and chopped

1 clove of garlic, peeled and finely chopped

1 large onion, peeled and finely chopped

1 lemon

Smoked paprika

Olive oil

Crusty loaf

Method:

In a pan or wok, heat a good glug of oil on a low heat.  

Add the chopped garlic, chilli and onion and cook over a gentle heat for around a minute to release the flavour.

Increase the heat and add the prawns.  

Cook for a further two minutes and then add the juice of half a lemon and two teaspoons of smoked paprika.

Cook for a further minute and then serve with a slice of lemon and a slice of your favourite crusty bread.
