THIS weekend Trinity Church celebrates the anniversary of the congregations of three churches in March coming together - Station Road Methodist, The United Reformed Church and St Paul’s Methodist - to form Trinity Methodist/United Reformed Church.
There is a coffee morning on Saturday from 10am to noon where Rev Manivasagan Pillay will receive gift envelopes from members and friends of Trinity to mark the anniversary.
Peterborough Salvation Army Band are in concert at 7.30pm. Admission is free and all are welcome. There will be a raffle and refreshments in the interval.
Guests will include March Mayor and Mayoress, Bernard and Sylvia Keane.
Sunday sees a special anniversary service at 10.30am led by Rev Jackie Goddard.
One of the features of the weekend is the chance to view the East Anglian volume of the handwritten Bible, a project undertaken by the Methodist Church nationally to mark the 400th anniversary of the authorised version of the St James Bible.
