Positive, valuable and worthwhile is how the organisers have described Saturday’s inaugural Community Open Day at All Saints’ Church, Walsoken.
John Petch, one of the people behind the day, said it was “humbling” to see so many groups, organisations and individuals all inside the church.
He said the feedback from the groups was also “very positive” and many said it was a benefit to them to be at an event with so many others.
Guest speakers were Police Commissioners Sir Graham Bright for Cambridgeshire and Stephen Bett for Norfolk.
As far as repeating the event is concerned, Mr Petch said: “It is now a case of sitting down and looking at the day as a whole. I am sure we can learn things but hopefully we have done some good.”
A host of organisations were in church covering all aspects of life from young children and families to Age UK.
A47 road petitioner Bridget Wall was among those who attended.
