A community television project was launched in Fenland last week.

Events were held at Chatteris, Whittlesey and Wisbech libraries to launch the project which will see members of the community and local groups get some screen time.

The footage will be edited and uploaded to the Popcorn TV web channel and community website Shape Your Place, as part of the Arts Alive In Libraries initiative. Katherine Nightingale from Popcorn TV said: “We are so pleased with the initial interest from the Fenland community.

“We had loads of visitors to each of the sessions from local community groups, the friends of the libraries, church groups, arts groups, young people and local councillors.”

The films that were made have now been uploaded. The next sessions will be held in January, however Community TV welcome films from members of the community which they will upload on any subject.
