Charity fundraiser Cyril Snushall was adamant he didn’t want any gifts for his 90th birthday.
Instead, he said if anyone wanted to give him something, they could make a donation to the Lymphoma Association through the Macmillan Care and Treatment Centre at King’s Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
As a result of people’s generosity, Cyril, who lives in Walpole Highway, was able to present £725 which will be spent on equipment at the hospital.
Cyril and his daughter Pauline Moules made the presentation last week to hospital staff members Ruth Overton (Haematology Sister), Dr Martin Lewis, and Staff Nurse Katie Addison.
Cyril said his ambition is to see this figure reach £1,000 and he is determined it will.
Said Cyril: “I have asked for the money to be spent in the hospital and I am going back sometime later to see what it is going towards.”
