A couple are organising a fundraising bingo night as a way of thanking the emergency service which came to their aid during a medical crisis.
Ruth Freeman is organising a prize bingo in aid of Magpas Helimedix, the emergency medical charity which looked after her husband, Pete, after he had a cardiac arrest at home in January.
Ruth’s quick thinking and clear, calm call to the emergency services brought crucial help to Pete initially from the EEAST rapid responder then backup from a Magpas Helimedix team.
Ruth said: “Magpas Helimedix gave Pete advanced A&E care in our home then kept him stable all the way to hospital. I want to thank the charity and raise some money to help them continue their fantastic work.”
The bingo is on Thursday June 12 at Emneth Central Hall. Doors open at 6.30pm, eyes down 7.15 pm. If anyone would like to donate a prize, please ring Ruth on 01945 585167 or email her on firstname.lastname@example.org.
