Volunteers are needed from across Fenland to help keep organisations operational.
The Volunteer Centre, Fenland, is asking people to step forward and register their interest so that they can be guided towards an appropriate organisation, which will then get in touch to arrange an interview.
If both parties are happy to proceed, paperwork and forms are completed.
For some volunteering roles a DBS form may need completing, which can take sometimes from four to six weeks.
Volunteering can be from as little as one hour a week and many organisations will reimburse reasonable mileage and travel expenses.
Some of the latest opportunities which have arisen are for flood wardens in Wisbech, technical/lighting volunteers, volunteer organisers, dance and drama leader, translation volunteers, trustees, event stewards, fundraisers, café help in March and talking to the elderly, lead walkers, drivers and minibus drivers and escorts, self serve volunteers for libraries, rhymetime volunteers for libraries, regular seasonal leaflet distributors, credit union volunteers in March and Wisbech, befrienders to help with shopping, playing cards, days and trips out.
