Could the Co-op raise cash for you?

The Co-operative is looking for local charities to help next year and wants the people of Fenland to nominate worthy causes.

There are three stores in the area – Wisbech, Chatteris and Whittlesey – which have raised just over £10,000 this year alone for the company’s chosen charity. But next year, the stores are being given the opportunity to choose their own charity. It could mean a big difference to a local organisation.

Graham Arthur, from the Chatteris store, said: “It would be great if we could help one or more of these charities or organisations purchase some new equipment or help those that need it.”

Nominations can be made in each of the stores and the plan at the moment is to choose one charity for each store to raise money for.
