Gang steal metal from scrap yard
POLICE are appealing for information after a gang of thieves stole metal from a scrap yard.
Offenders broke into the yard in Osborne Road, Wisbech, between 10.50pm on Friday (February 3) and 6am on Monday (February 6), before stealing more than eight tonnes of scrap metal along with 40 catalytic converters.
Detective Constable Tade Toseland, investigating, said: “I would urge anyone with any information about this theft to call police.
“A large amount of metal was stolen and is likely a van would have been used to take it away.”
