Delivery driver robbed in Doddington

A FAST food delivery driver was robbed as he made a delivery to an address in Doddington.

The order was made to a takeaway in March to the address in Carpenters Way on Saturday night (October 15).

The driver arrived with the order, worth about £30 and in a bag, at just after midnight on Sunday but the property was in darkness.

He waited and about 10 minutes later four men arrived and assaulted the driver before stealing the order and making off.

The men were all white, in their 20s and about 5’8”. One was clean shaven, had a speech impediment and short light hair.

Another wore a dark blue hooded top with the hood up and black tracksuit bottoms with a logo on the right hip.

The third wore a grey hooded top with the hood up and a logo on the left side of the chest and grey tracksuit bottoms.

The fourth wore a dark hooded top with dark tracksuit bottoms.

The driver was not seriously hurt.

DC Jon Edwards, who is investigating, said: “I would like to hear from anyone with any information about this robbery, which left the victim shaken.”
