A MUM has issued a heartfelt plea for people to stop taking flowers and items from graves in Elm Cemetery.
The mum, who doesn’t want to be named, said it has been happening for sometime but recently in July she had flowers in a hand-tie arrangement and flowers in a basket taken from her 17 year-old daughter’s grave.
“It causes the families a great deal of heartache when they have lovingly put them there only to find the next day they’re gone.
“We want our family graves to look nice and take great pride in doing this so please leave the flowers alone,” she said.
The incidents have been reported to police and anyone with information is asked to contact PC Shaun Mitchell at Wisbech Police Station on 0345-456-4564.
