An alleyway in Wisbech town centre is currently sealed off by police (Tuesday) after a man was robbed at knifepoint.
New Bell Lane, which runs adjacent to the Citizen office off Union Street, is the scene of intensive investigations following the incident, which happened at around 10am.
Details are sketchy but DI Dave Murphy, investigating, said two assailants held a Stanley knife to the victim’s face and made off with a wallet.
The victim, who is believed to have gone into the alleyway to relieve himself, suffered a small facial injury during the attack.
One attacker had a distinctive mark under his eye.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800555111
