Police want to trace a driver who failed to stop following a collision in March.

Officers had been called to reports that a black Ford Focus was wheel-spinning in City Road car park at about 6pm on Saturday (September 21).

But when officers arrived, the car made off and was involved in a collision with another vehicle nearby. The driver failed to stop at the scene before abandoning his vehicle and running off through Robingoodfellows park.

The vehicle has been recovered and no-one was injured.

PC Phil Richardson, investigating, said: “I would urge the driver of the Ford Focus to get in touch to help us establish how this incident occurred.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the area or in the moments leading up to the collision to call police.”

Anyone with any information should call PC Richardson on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555111.
