Teenager injured in Wisbech robbery

A FIFTEEN-year-old boy suffered facial injuries during a robbery in Wisbech.

The boy was cycling back home after visiting his friend’s house in Sefton Avenue at around 5.55pm on Tuesday (June 26) when he saw three men sitting at the rear of a disused shop formerly known at ‘All Branz’.

One of the men grabbed him and punched him in the face before throwing him to the floor. The second searched his pockets and stole some money. The men then walked off in the direction of Wisbech town centre.

The first man is described as white, tanned, in his late 20s, 6’2” and of medium build. He had cropped grey hair and was wearing a black scarf, dark blue jeans and a black leather motorcycle jacket.

The second is described as white, tanned, in his late 20s, 5’4” and skinny. He had dark brown curly hair and was cleanly shaven. He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark blue baggy jeans and trainers.

The third is described as white, in his early 30s, 5’11” and muscular. He had light brown short spiked hair with long sideburns and moustache. He wore a plain black t-shirt, navy jogging bottoms and white and black trainers.

DC Mark Yendley said: “This was an unpleasant experience for the victim and it is vital we trace the men responsible.

“If anyone was in the area at the time of the robbery I would urge them to call police.”
