A Wisbech van driver has been fined £170 and received five-penalty points on his licence following a crash on the A14.
Daniel Drury, 21, of High Road, Guyhirn, near Wisbech, admitted driving without due care and attention following the incident on August 12 last year.
Peterborough Magistrates’ Court was told Drury failed to notice slow moving traffic while driving his Vauxhall Combo on the A14 near Wherstead, Suffolk.
He swerved to avoid a vehicle ahead, but collided with a Ford Fiesta, damaging the rear bumper, boot and nearside panel.
Drury, who previously had a clean licence, was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
