Wisbech man arrested after stabbing in Peterborough this morning

A Wisbech man has been arrested following a stabbing in Lincoln Road in Peterborough this morning, Wednesday May 18.

Officers are at the scene of the attack between Geneva Street and North Street after the incident at 12.15am today.

A man in his 20s received serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

Six men were arrested on suspicion of assault, causing grievous bodily harm, and taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station where they remain.

Those arrested are a 45-year-old man from Wisbech, a 24-year-old man from Peterborough, a 25-year-old man of no fixed address, a 20-year-old man from Peterborough, a 21-year-old man from Corby and a 21-year-old man from Peterborough.
