Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a three-vehicle collision at Thorney Toll on Friday.
Leicester man Sukhdeep Johal (27) died when his blue Peugeot 206 was in collision with another car and a lorry on the A47 at around 4.30pm.
Magpas Helimedix, who attended the scene, said Mr Johal died at the scene of a traumatic cardiac arrest. Police, who were first on the scene, had already started CPR when the air ambulance arrived.
A spokesperson said: “The Magpas team provided him with advanced life support while working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew. Sadly, despite all their best efforts, the patient was pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.”
The driver of a green Jaguar X Type Saloon, a 29-year-old woman from Peterborough, received minor injuries and the driver of the lorry, a 56-year-old man from Wisbech, was not injured.
PC Simon Burgin said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw any of the vehicles in the moments leading up to the incident.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Burgin on 101.
