Woman robbed in March

A WOMAN suffered minor injuries after being robbed in March.

The 57-year-old woman was walking along Station Road, close to the County Road junction, when she was knocked over by two men. The victim tried to fight the men off with the bag of potatoes and compost she was carrying and the men ran off, grabbing her purse as they fled the scene.

They were white and wearing dark clothing and hooded tops, with the hood up.

The incident happened at 10.45pm on Sunday (June 10).

PC Andrew Rudd said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and noticed anything suspicious or the two men as they fled the scene.

“Any information, no matter how small, could prove vital in tracing those responsible.”

Anyone with information should call PC Rudd on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
