DON and Joyce King, of Friday Bridge, celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on August 30.
The couple enjoyed a meal with family to mark their special milestone and they received a congratulatory telegram from the Queen.
Don (85) and Joyce (82) have one son, Peter King, who lives at Norwich, and daughters Lynda Good and Carole Youngman, both of Wisbech. They also have six grandchildren.
Don used to work on the farm estate for the Co-operative at Coldham. Then he worked as a refuse collector for Fenland District Council for many years up to taking early retirement.
Joyce worked on the land for Fenns, of Friday Bridge and also worked at the former Walpole Fruit Packers in Walsoken until retirement.
The couple enjoy coach holidays. Don is a keen gardener and Joyce likes flower arranging and plays bowls at Friday Bridge.
She is also a member of the village Women’s Institute.
