NOW is the time to do something different and for people in Emneth and the Walpole area, the latest ‘Do Something Different Healthy Weight/Happy Life’ programme will help them do just that.
This is a ground-breaking initiative which has been developed by the University of Hertfordshire. It is designed to encourage people to break habits, helping them to change their lives for the better.
Project Manager, Ronel Erasmus, said: “Do Something Different is a completely new approach which tackles the habits that make us behave the way we do. “Relying on willpower alone to lose weight or stop smoking rarely works and this programme actually starts to untangle the web of habits that we all create.
“People working through the Do Something Different programme are encouraged to do a variety of tasks in a fun way each day to show how making a few small changes can add up to a big change in their lives,” she added.
The first programme was launched in King’s Lynn in 2009 and since then over 20 have been run in various locations in West Norfolk.
The programme is available free of charge to West Norfolk residents. The latest seven-week programmes are being run in Walpole St Peter and Emneth for people living in the West Walton, Marshland St James, Walpole Highway, Emneth, Tilney St Lawrence, Walpoles and Terrington St John area.
