A dedicated former serviceman has been honoured for his work with the Royal Air Force Association.
John Stanton has been appointed a life vice-president for the Downham branch of RAFA to celebrate his hard work.
Mr Stanton, who had served in the RAF for 40 years, joined the association in 1974.
He was presented with a certificate by branch chairman Len Agar, who has praised Mr Stanton’s dedication.
Mr Agar said: “In his time, John has fulfilled just about every post available and also served on area committees.
“His devotion to the association and branch is greatly appreciated.”
Mr Agar also presented a bouquet to Mr Stanton’s wife Shirley.
The couple are also involved with the Downham Branch of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal .
