Dressing up for The Dambusters

CHATTERIS Community Cinema is bringing the Dambusters to Chatteris as their contribution to the host of events already being staged by the Chatteris Historic Festival.

On June 23 cinema goers will be encouraged to dress in fashions of the 1940s to attend this special screening of the classic film.

The community cinema volunteers are hoping to see a Winston Churchill in the audience or maybe a few WRENS.

A spokesperson for the cinema said: “The historic festival in Chatteris is an annual event in the town enjoyed by all ages. We wanted to be apart of it and so have organised this special screening at a bargain price to coincide with a week’s worth of events being run by various organisations in the town.”

Tickets are on sale at the King Edward Centre on Saturday June 18 10am to noon priced at £2.50. The screening starts at 7.30pm.
