AN appeal has gone out to help make Easter ‘eggs-tra’ special for disadvantaged children in Fenland.
The Anglia Co-operative Travel branches at Wisbech and March are asking you to support their Easter eggs appeal – and the sweet treats collected will be distributed via Wisbech Salvation Army and Home-Start at March.
Eggs are being collected at the Anglia Co-operative Travel branches in the Westgate department stores at Wisbech and March.
Wisbech branch manager Kelly Hubbard said: “It’s the first time we have appealed for Easter eggs but our customers responded brilliantly to our Christmas toys appeal, which we also ran with the Salvation Army.”
March branch manager Natasha Thatcher added: “It doesn’t matter whether it’s a big egg or a small one, it’s the thought that counts - you will be helping to put a smile on the faces of local children.”
The March appeal closes on April 16 and the Wisbech appeal on April 20.
