It was pirate paradise at St Peter’s Junior School on Wednesday as the Year 4 pupils explored their sea legs.
The children have been learning about pirates as part of their literacy work and the dress-up day was a chance to tap into their creativity.
Clare Rose, one of the Year 4 teachers, said the youngsters produced some excellent work. They had to write a diary entry as their character and find out facts.
In the afternoon the pirates went on a good old fashioned treasure hunt, following clues to get the treasure.
