FORMER champion boxer Dave ‘Boy’ Green, of Chatteris, proved a knock out when he helped to officially open new buildings at Manea Primary School on Wednesday.

The £1.7m extension includes a new outdoor learning space, a music room, a group room and new kitchen facilities.

Also officiating at the special ceremony was chairman of Cambridgeshire County Council, Cllr John Powley who handed the keys over to chairman of the school governors, Sarah Eastol.

Children from the school gave a presentation of music and dance.

Afterwards, the school and chairman of the governors said it was a “wonderful occasion to share with the community.”
