College celebrates World Book Day

Staff and students at Peterborough Regional College are celebrating World Book Day today with a variety of activities from live web chats in the College’s Library +, with well known broadcaster and TV personality, Tony Robinson at 2pm and 9 different authors at 11am.

The childcare students have also organised a story time session in the College Library + for children attending The College Nursery, based on the Park Crescent site.

The 2-4 yr olds arrived at Library + dressed as their favourites story characters. There were pirates, princesses and even a Rupert Bear! The Childcare students were then going to read stories to the children, great experience for their course and a role that they hope to play when they leave the College as nursery workers or teachers.

Students studying make up at PRC also got involved and offered their services by painting the little learners’ faces, ready for their story session.
