THE College of West Anglia Isle Campus held an open day on Saturday to raise the profile of the courses and qualifications it has to offer for students interested in motor vehicle and motorsport.

The open day comprised demonstrations and interactive activities. It was aimed at industry suppliers and employers as well as potential students and people interested in motor vehicle or motorsports qualifications to come along and find out more.

Bob Whalley, course director, said it was a good day with trades people attending and giving demonstrations.

“It is about the college creating stronger ties with industry and about talking to employers who want apprentices to see that they are looking for,” said Mr Whalley.

Lots of visitors took advantage of the rolling road - which offered the opportunity to test a car’s BHP.
