ON Friday the families of Marshland St James Primary School and Nursery enjoyed an Easter ‘eggstravaganza’.

Headteacher Sheila Day said: “It’s wonderful to see the school community coming together to celebrate Easter. We are very lucky to have so many adults that are willing to help organise activities. We would like to say thank you to Reeds of Downham Market and Van Hage in Peterborough for their donations of prizes. The children were very enthusiastic about the “Super Hero Egg” competition, which was judged by Rev Dawn Mason.

“The main aim of this event was to encourage families to come in to school, some of the attractions included were Easter crafts, puzzles and quizzes, hot cross buns and a cake sale which raised over £60 for our school council. I also brought my Shetland pony in.”
