The Kingsfield School at Chatteris hosted a new five-a-side football tournament on Friday.

Three schools took part - Kingsfield and Glebelands and the Robert Arkenstall Primary School from Haddenhan.

The final was between Glebelands and Robert Arkenstall with the Haddenham side taking the shield.

The friendly competition had been organised by Kingsfield teaching assistant Marcia Foy along with Max Flintoft, a coach with Premier Sports.

Former Chatteris student Reece Hall-Johnson, a youth player with Norwich City Football Club, presented the trophies. Reece is a former student of the Cromwell Community College. Also attending from Norwich City was coach Jimmy Unwin.

Marcia hopes to built on this year’s inaugural event and attract more schools next year. She thanked Year 11 students from the Cromwell for their help on the day acting as ball boys and helping with the results.
