FOUR boys from Ramnoth School at Wisbech took part in the final of the county’s maths challenge.
Harry Smith, Ashleigh Ward, Joseph Beresford and Sam Russell represented the school in the Year 5 Maths Challenge 2011 at the finals held at the Duxford Air Museum after winning a heat hosted by their school.
They triumphed over 11 other schools to win through to the final which saw them pitting their mathematical brains against pupils from 28 other schools.
Sadly the boys didn’t win, but they thoroughly enjoyed the experience with many of the questions being based around the theme of flight.
They also had a chance to look round some of the planes on show and step into Concorde.
