Performing Arts students at the peele Community College in Long Sutton were celebrating on Friday after receiving new equipment.
Thanks to a successful funding bid to the Grange Wind Farm Community Fund, the students now have a new set of three boom microphones and stands and a theatre communications setup.
Performing Arts teaching assistant Jackie Manghan said: “We are very grateful to the Community Fund and are delighted to have the new microphones and especially the communications system.
“This means that the stage crew can now communicate with the sound and lighting desk at the back of the hall during performances, which is so important to the smooth running of a production.”
The equipment will be used not only during the whole college annual productions but also for the BTEC Performing Arts showcase exams and other performances and concerts.
• On the same day, the college held its induction event for Year 7s who are joing in September.
Pupils currently in Year 6 at primary school had a chance to see what Peele is like and all settled in well.
