Explosions, fake snow and tornados dominated the learning of children at Orchards Primary School during their annual Science Week.
The aptly named ‘Science Boffin’ led workshops for the youngsters and had them spellbound by blowing things up and using chemicals to produce some amazing reactions.
The topic for Science Week was the rainforest and there were lots of opportunities for research and experiments.
Science leader Jackie Bridges said: “A fantastic science week was had by all. The children thoroughly enjoyed their action packed week which ended with a spectacular performance by ‘Boffin John’. And tt was great to see the children sharing their new-found knowledge with their parents at the science fair.”
Chair of governors Ann Purt was also impressed when she visited, with children keen to show off their work.
