A GROUP of year seven students at March Neale-Wade Community College have been busy baking in time for Christmas.
Over the last three weeks the Let’s Get Cooking group run by teachers Zoe Clarke and Pat Knott have made and decorated cakes.
The club, which has proved a huge hit with students, is part of the Lottery funded Let’s Get Cooking initiative aimed at setting up a national network of cooking clubs to teach new skills to more than one million children and their families.
Mrs Clarke said: “It is great to have such enthusiastic students who are willing to give up their time to get stuck in and learn to cook.”
The students spent the last session adding seasonal decorations to their cakes, which they were then able to take home and share with their families.
