Angela King, head of performance faculty, said: “It’s a child’s version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show which is heavy on the comedy and the music. The main character, Professor Fenton, is a former rockstar who was in a bad accident and he becomes a bit like a Dr Frankenstein character. He keeps bringing people like Elvis and The Supremes back from the dead!

“The children gave a real high quality performance, they all really enjoyed themselves. We definitely had some rising stars on that stage.”

The cast of 35 year seven to 11 students gave three performances, including a matinee for pupils at Kingsfield Primary School.
