Thomas Clarkson Community College closed due to water leak but exams are still going ahead

A WISBECH secondary school has been forced to close today (Friday) due to a major water leak.

The leak at Thomas Clarkson Community College, which flooded the boiler room, was discovered yesterday.

Headteacher Maureen Strudwick made the decision to close as the water had to be shut off and services, such as the school canteen, would not be able to operate.

GCSE exams due to take place at the school today will still go ahead and school transport will continue to run to make sure students can make it to the exams.

Staff were on site overnight cleaning up the water and contractors will be there today to find the source of the leak.
