ALL Saints’ Interchurch Primary School at March, has received two glowing inspections.
The school had two inspections because it is a church school. Ofsted found that the overall effectiveness of the school was Good with Outstanding features. Children make good progress across the school and standards and they enjoy their learning.
“There is a calm and positive atmosphere in classrooms which enables children to learn well.” Relationships in all classes are good. Senior managers are ‘passionate in their pursuit of excellence’, which was supported by the church school inspectors.
Ofsted found the school’s excellent care for its pupils is evident and again this was supported by the church school team.
The role of governors was also praised by both sets of inspectors.
Points for improvement which had already been identified by the school are:
Ensure all lessons taught are outstanding; improve the number achieving higher levels in writing at the end of KS2.
From the church inspectors recommendations are:
To further encourage pupils’ spiritual growth through more frequent opportunities for meaningful personal reflection; and to formalise the monitoring and evaluation by governors of daily collective worship and the Christian life of the school.
