Walpole St Peter pupils talents add up to a top maths prize

Year 5 pupils from Anthony Curton Primary School, Walpole St Peter, were victorious at the Marshland Cluster Maths Challenge.

The event, held at Marshland St James Primary School, saw four Year 5 pupils, working as a team to solve many maths related problems. A few questions even had the audience puzzled, but fortunately the answers were disclosed after each round.

The winning team members, Ellie Jackson, Oliver Swann, Ollie Archer-Humphreys and Nicholas Hedges were presented with certificates, medals and a trophy.

Miss Emily Coward, Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator at Anthony Curton School, said that she was extremely proud of the children and that it was lovely for them to be able to take a trophy back to school.
