The air ambulance was called out to March this morning after an elderly woman collapsed.

The Magpas Helimedix landed in front of the library when they attended the woman at 11.35am.

The woman had suffered a cardiac arrest and was successfully resuscitated by an EEAST ambulance crew. The Magpas team then anaesthetised the woman and provided her with enhanced A&E level care, before flying her to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, monitoring her condition all the way. On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was Pilot Richard Eastwood and crew member Simon Amos.
