Essays written by a pair of Parson Drove twins provided the inspiration for a children’s book that has recently been published.
Alex and Sam Lewis (19) wrote essays for their GCSE English exam that provided the background stories for the ‘Combatants Wiz Kids’ series, a fantasy fiction set in Fenland. They wrote the book with their mum Paulette.
The book is a good-against-evil tale featuring children with magical abilities who must save Fenland from the dark force of the Sherman.
It features an original game called ‘Equifutsol’ which sees players on horseback striking their opponents in a relay race before the game moves onto a mix of a football and rubgy pitch where goals must be scored.
