Plans have been submitted to extend a March primary school.
Maple Grove Infant School could be getting a four classroom extension under the new application.
Earlier this year, Cambridgeshire County Council agreed to amalgamate the infant school with neighbouring Westwood Junior School.
Westwood Primary School, which will run over the two current sites, will open in September.
The application, which has been submitted to the county council, proposes giving the infant school an additional four classrooms.
Maple Grove Community Group Pre-School, which also runs on the same site, hope to get two more classrooms if planners give the application the green light.
A planning statement said: “The proposed development will increase the capacity of the Infants School to a school with a capacity of 360 pupils.
“The proposed Pre-School development will be to provide a further two classrooms within an extension to the existing building.
“This will enable the existing temporary mobile classbase to be removed from the site.
“The capacity of the Pre-School will increase to 96 pupils.”
The infant school extension will provide the following – four new classrooms, four classroom stores, two toilets, a reception, cloakroom, boiler room and a corridor/break-out area.
While the pre-school could be getting – two new classrooms, two toilets, two classroom stores two kitchenettes, a lobby, office, toilet, interview room, corridor/break out area.
The report states: “To meet a growing demand for school places, the county council has identified the catchments of Maple Grove Infants and Westwood Community Junior Schools as a priority for increasing school reception places from September 2015.”
