Wisbech firm Pike Textile Display Ltd held a family fun day and barbecue on Saturday at the town’s Rugby Club.
The Fun Day was organised by the Pike Textile Display Social Club with the view that the profits would be donated to the Macmillan and Hudson Palliative Care Centre based at the North Cambs Hospital.
There were various attractions/stalls including plants, tattoo stickers, laser tagging, duck hooking, coconut shy, tombola, cake stall etc and a bouncy castle and inflatable slide for the children.
Managing director Jon Allen volunteered to go in the stocks and have wet sponges thrown at him and there was a five a-side football competition which was won by the Jackie Gallagher Legends team.
A fancy dress competition and a cutest baby competition was also held and judged by Andrew Pike and there was a children’s football penalty competition as well.
The company said a few schedules activities didn’t take place as some people couldn’t make it but the events that did happen went very well.
It was disappointing that the weather forecast seemed to put people off but overall all those who did attend had a good time.
The organisers want to thank everyone who that took part and helped the committee in any way.
