A husband and wife duo have completed a bike ride from London to Brighton to raise money for a meningitis charity that supported them while their baby fought for his life.
Chris and Sadie Copeman, from March, fundraised for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
Sadie said: “The Foundation helped us to understand exactly the severity of Harry’s illness and were always there to answer any questions we had and to reassure us.”
Their son Harry, who is now seven, was struck down with pneumococcal meningitis when he was just three months old. He spent a week in intensive care and a total of three weeks in hospital.
He has since made a complete recovery and is no different from his sister Libby (12).
