Sainsbury’s in March raised just over £4,000 for Sport Relief with a series of events and selling merchandise.
Store manager Graeme Speke joined other store managers to brave the cold water at Hunstanton and some colleagues achieved second place in a regional tag rugby competition.
During the weekend, all colleagues took part in a corporate flashmob dance. Every hour, on the hour, on Friday and Saturday, colleague downed tools to dance in the store and some of the customers also joined in with the fun.
On Saturday, colleagues raced against the March Fire Service in a cycling challenge. Their target was to reach the 88 mile distance of the River Nene and both teams exceeded this target. Thanks to George Campbell Leisure Centre for helping.
Julie Wenn and Lewis Taylor also ran the Sports Relief mile at Milton Country Park on Saturday and finished within seven minutes.
