Tomorrow (Friday) is National Flower Arranging Day and one Wisbech group has taken part by transforming an empty shop front.

The windows of the former Clarks shoe store in Wisbech’s Horsefair were filled with flowers and photographs by the Wisbech and District Flower Club to mark the day, which was started by the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies to boost public awareness of the association.

The Wisbech club is also celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and the window display, which features a birthday cake, is a flashback to other celebrations in the club.

The arrangements were done by members John Richmond and Betty Swann.

If anyone is interested in joining the club, head along to the Horsefair and check out the display. There is lots of information about the club and images of the demonstrations and workshops members can take part in.

It is hoped the display will remain until Thursday of next week (May 9).
